We’re OPEN! Come On Out to Richmond 40 Bowl

Open sign hanging in window

The past few months have been hard for everyone due to the coronavirus pandemic, but now that Indiana’s reopening plan is in phase 4, we’re thrilled to be open once again! We’ve missed seeing all of our regulars, and we know you’ve missed bowling

While we’re very excited to re-open, we want you to know that health and safety—both for our customers and our staff—are our highest priority. In order to reduce the risk of coronavirus infection, we have some new measures in place that you will see on your next visit to Richmond 40 Bowl. Please keep these safety measures in mind and help us operate safely so that we can keep the bowling alley open and keep the good times rolling!

How to Go Bowling Safely During the Coronavirus Pandemic

What We’re Doing

  • Our entire team has been trained in our new COVID-19 sanitization and safety requirements for each area of Richmond 40 Bowl.
  • Richmond 40 Bowl team members will be checked for fever before each shift. Any staff member who has a fever over 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or who exhibits possible COVID-19 symptoms (cough, shortness of breath, etc.) will be sent home.
  • All team members will wear face masks, and if working in food or beverage areas, will wear gloves
  • We will be switching to single-use paper menus
  • Restaurant and bar seating will be arranged to allow for 6 feet of social distance between groups, with a maximum of 6 guests per table
  • In addition to the pre-existing hand washing rules for employees, we are now implementing an additional requirement: Team members must wash their hands or sanitize their hands every hour or anytime contact with a guest has taken place.
  • The frequency and thoroughness of our cleaning will be increased, especially in regard to high traffic areas and frequently-touched surfaces. We will be using an EPA-approved cleaning product that kills coronavirus on contact in 2 minutes.
  • Bowling balls will be sanitized daily. Guests may sanitize their chosen ball before use at our new Bowling Ball Sanitation Station
  • Bowling lanes will be running at half capacity (every other lane closed) to enable effective social distancing. Groups will be limited to 10 people per lane.
  • Our process for rental bowling shoes will be different: In addition to being sanitized before and after each use, we now ask that you leave your rental shoes and bowling balls at your lane when you’re ready to leave. We will clean and sanitize the area between groups.
  • We will be monitoring and limiting the number of guests in the arcade area, as well as limiting the redemption counter to 1 guest at a time.

What We Need You to Do

Thank you in advance for assisting us in these measures! Here’s what you can do:

  • Wear a mask.
  • Maintain social distancing of 6 feet between your group and other guests.
  • Practice excellent hand hygiene with regular hand washing and sanitizing.
  • If you are exhibiting any symptoms of coronavirus, STAY HOME
  • Respect our staff and other guests by following our new safety procedures, including limits to dining party size, arcade use, and lane capacity.

We can’t do it without you and we know we can count on you to do your part. Together we can slow the spread of coronavirus while still having some good old-fashioned bowling fun.
