Bowling League Basics

Fall is almost here, so it’s time to start finding activities to keep you busy through the season. One thing many people do, especially those that love to bowl, is join a bowling league! What exactly is a bowling league? How can you find the right bowling league for you? We’ve got you covered…

What Is A Bowling League?

A bowling league is a group event where several teams bowl against each other during the bowling season. Each team is made up of 3-5 bowlers, and the frequency of meetings varies depending on the type of league you’re in.

How To Find The Right Bowling League For You

When you’re ready to join a league, how do you find the right one for you? Every league is different, with different schedules, costs, prizes, and more. Before joining a bowling league, ask yourself these questions:

  • Would you rather join a  super competitive league or a more casual one?
  • What is the league schedule like? Does it match up with your own?
  • What is the cost to join?
  • How long does the season run?
  • What are the rules?
  • Are there any prizes?
  • Do you fit into the league demographic (women only, over 50, etc?)
